Quitting Facebook
I recently deactivated my account on the popular website Facebook.com because I realized something. Most people claim that Facebook is too much drama. I beg to differ. My reasons for leaving are similar in a way, but very different in others. I realized that Facebook, if used too often or as much as I did, creates more time in your life to compromise the relationships that you possess with friends, significant others and loved ones. It gives you much more time to make mistakes which others can view as inexcusable. I understand that Facebook was designed to keep in touch, but is there such thing as keeping too in touch? Too many hours spent talking to one another, too much time to find the differences. Too much time to see the flaws and eventually grow to dislike one another. We spend too much time absorbed in each other's social lives that we have lost touch on a personal level, wouldn't you agree? It's about time to bring back the feel of socialization the way it was meant to be. Personal, face to face, loving and truly enjoying one another.
