Recently, in my English class, we were discussing the true meaning of a hero. Together, we came up with a flow chart using all the adjectives we want our hero to be described with as a class. Some said that their heroes were big, muscly, strong, egomaniacs, wore capes and were always confident. Who are they kidding?
My definition didn't match some unrealistic cartoon. My heroes, they're..different. They are brave, they always care for the ones they love (and vice versa), and most importantly, they're human. They know they are and aren't afraid to recognize their mistakes. They are strong because the ones who love them depend on their love. They aren't afraid to risk their life for people that are worth the fight. Heroes aren't some glorified figure in a cartoon, they're every day people, the one in a millions.
